What makes the Chrysler Pacifica so appealing for families

The world is changing. Technology and specifically artificial intelligence are everywhere, including the palm of your hand. Because tech is so pervasive, it’s a good thing the Chrysler Pacifica can keep pace — and keep up with busy families.

During a weeklong test, it became obvious that everyone had what they needed at their fingertips. The 2025 Chrysler Pacifica Pinnacle is my favorite long-haul vehicle right now due to how the entire back of the Pacifica lets you fold down every seat so that it is flat.

That means you can even sleep in the back, but also store your gear. The Pacifica has 140.5 cubic feet of space when you fold down the second and third row seats. That’s phenomenal if you need to transport bikes or camping gear (which I did).

Chrysler Pacifica: Creature comforts

Those seats you can fold down? They are also really comfortable. I took my family on a long road trip and everyone said they appreciated the “support” (they didn’t use the word lumbar). The seats are designed to make a long drive easier and have a pillow built-in.

The entire cab feels upscale to me, with Quilted Nappa leather material. The 19-speaker Harman Kardon speaker system is nice for long drives as well.

Another perk that I love on the Pacifica is the Stow ’n Vac which we used to vacuum up some stray popcorn. It’s possible to clean the entire cab out. That was a critical feature for my family, who did not get the memo about eating snacks in a press car.

Chrysler Pacifica: What else is there to like

Behind the fold-down seats and the comfy seats, the Pacifica also has 20-inch polished aluminum wheels and a dual-pane sunroof for the stargazers in your family. When you open up the sunroof it feels like you are opening the vehicle up to the world.

On our road trip, that meant soaking up the sun but also meant the passengers could close the sunroof as needed. Or at least they could politely ask me to close it. I am saying that a bit sarcastically since my passengers were a little snarky about it all.

By the way, speaking of snarky: kids will love the Pacifica. They can play games, charge their devices, and generally enjoy the comforts of home as you drive. I like how the Kia Carnival had just a few extra ports for charging, but the Pacifica is a step up in terms of comfortable seats.

Chrysler Pacifica: Price

No complaints about the reasonable price of $42,450 for the base model (not including destination charges). The luxury feel and seating options make it worth it, especially compared to similar minivans that are north of that price.
