I’ve been living the life of a photographer and writer these days. Journalism has changed in recent years such that you really need to be able to write and do photography. In years before this, you could rely on an outlet to do their own photos but not anymore. Recently, I tried three new photography products and put them through their paces to see how they performed. I was so impressed I decided they are my picks for the best camera accessories for 2026.

1. Yesker Photo Light Box

This fantastic (and low cost) light box was perfect for taking product shots, and the setup is incredibly easy. Yesker designs the light box in a way that makes me think they know it won’t just be used by pro photographers who deal with this sort of equipment all day. It’s influencer (and journalist) friendly. Velcro along the sides makes the box easy to erect; you then attach the included lights and insert the included paper and you are all set.

2. Kiboko City Classic 18L Bag

What I liked best about this camera bag is just how many accessories I can put inside, yet I still had room for my own Canon 5D camera and the Nikon Z5II I’m reviewing. There are 432 compartments (not really — but there’s a lot) for memory cards, lenses, cables, and filters. They are all different sizes but the interior walls can be adjusted and reconfigured for your gear. The best part is that, having dropped the bag a few times, I can say the protection is top notch.

3. Nikon Z5II Camera

I will be doing a full review of this camera in a few weeks after testing it more, but for now just know that the Nikon Z5II is a smart new full-frame model to consider. Let me skip right to the final verdict: this is a pro camera that does low-light photos better than anything I’ve tested. There are intelligent auto focus options galore, including settings for people, birds, dogs, cats, cars, bicycles, motorcycles, trains and airplanes. The specs speak for themselves: 24.5MP BSI-CMOS sensor, EXPEED 7 processing, and high-speed shooting up to 30fps.

All told, these picks as the best camera accessories for 2026 won’t let you down.
