Craving peace of mind about your phone? Then the Crave for Google Pixel 8a Case is perfect for you

I’ll admit it, I am in need of a good phone case more than most people. I’ve grown a little overconfident in leaving my phone on precarious table edges or carrying too many things in my hands at once. (With a little imagination you can fill in the rest.) That’s why I was super excited to review the Crave for Google Pixel 8a Case. It turns out I’m not alone in my need for a great case, and Crave stepped up to the challenge.

Crave for Google Pixel 8a Case durability and design features

Arguably the most important factor when choosing a phone case is whether it does, in fact, protect your phone. The Crave for Google Pixel 8a Case does just that. They use a dual layer design that includes a flexible interior for shock-absorption and a tough plastic exterior for durability. But even with two layers (and reinforced corners), Crave does a great job of keeping the case slim and practical. It measures at about 6.2 inches and snugly fits around my pixel. It also easily fits into pockets (yes, even girl pockets) and backpack sleeves.

The Crave for Google Pixel 8a Case also features a raised rim around the border of the screen and around the opening for the back camera. This helps prevent cracked screens or camera lenses. And in case you’re wondering if it’s compatible with wireless charging, it is. (And yes, that pun was painfully intentional.)

One design element that I was shocked stood out to me so much was the case’s side keys. That might sound weird, but Crave did a really good job in designing their power and volume buttons to be clean and precise. In the past I’ve had cases where the side buttons felt sticky or were just harder to push. The Crave for Google Pixel 8a Case is a different story; clicking the volume up on Sonny & Cher has never been so satisfying. This precision also earned bonus points from me for increasing my screenshot-success rate (instead of aging myself by accidentally turning my phone off).

Crave’s Pixel 8a Case Aesthetic and Price Point

But durability isn’t everything. Style comes in as a close second when it comes to choosing a phone case, and color me impressed by the Crave color palette options (see what I did there?). But seriously, I love the colors. I had the chance to review Crave’s Pixel 8a Case in both forest green and the navy blue–and I swapped them out almost daily because I couldn’t decide which I liked more. A lot of comparable competitors are only available in black. I’m a blue-green diehard, but with eight color options available for the Crave Pixel 8a Case, choose whatever color you like.

I also liked the aesthetic of the case’s rounded edges (the trend in modern designs as seen by Samsung’s upcoming release). A subtle texture on the back added visual intrigue and provided a better grip. Finally, the case features the Crave name at the bottom, creating a signature look without being too flashy.

The Crave for Pixel 8a Case is also insanely reasonable at just $16.99 on Amazon. And while that’s a modest price for a Pixel 8a phone case, it doesn’t come at the sacrifice of quality or style. It’s just a good deal. But if you weren’t convinced, Crave still offers a lifetime warranty on it.

Is the Crave for Google Pixel 8a Case worth it?

One great thing about reviewing such an essential, daily object: I’ve gotten tons of use out of it. And my conclusion? I love it. Crave really blends style and practicality better than most of their competitors. Their cases are simple but not boring, durable but not bulky, and affordable while remaining high-quality. My only critique would be that the rounded edges make the case a little more difficult to prop up. It’s not impossible, it just takes a little more finesse before I’m set to watch my favorite show (Monk of course).

Overall, I’d definitely recommend it for your Pixel 8a. Whether you’re more concerned with a case’s toughness or it’s color, the Crave for Google Pixel 8a Case is a great fit.
