How these two baby carriers were a lifesaver

I didn’t know the biggest essential I would need would be a baby carrier when I had my baby eight weeks ago. There hasn’t been a single baby product that I have used more. Whether it’s a trip to the grocery store or fussiness in the middle of the night, there’s nothing a baby carrier can’t solve. Now that the significance of a baby carrier is there, it should be noted that not all baby carriers are created equal. It can’t be a helpful tool in the long days of parenting if it doesn’t work well. Here’s my review of two structured baby carriers below.

Tula Free-to-Grow Carrier

The Tula Free-to-Grow Carrier comes in a variety of stylish colors and patterns to match any caretaker’s aesthetic. It has supportive straps on all sides to decrease back pain for extended use which is a game changer for parents with young children who are constantly leaning up and down. They will feel back, shoulder, and hip support with this carrier. Additionally, this quality structured carrier promotes healthy hip and spine development for babies as it has been recognized by the International Hip Dysplasia Institute.

The free-to-grow carrier is safe for babies to sleep in, snug and comfortable to their caretakers chest. Furthermore, the fabric is 100% cotton and breathable. It’s cozy, thick, and molds to your body for a desired fit. Parents no longer have to worry about their baby carrier being one size fits all as the free-to-grow carrier is suitable to all body types as the waist belt can extend from 27 inches to 57 inches. Parents will appreciate that they can easily adjust the carrier to fit comfortably, and can wear their child snug to their chest for short walks in the park or on their back for longer hikes. The only disadvantage I found with this carrier is that it’s not made to be worn with your child facing outward. It makes up for it by the advantage of carrying your young child on your back hands-free, but the inability to face outward on one’s chest is something to take into consideration.

The free-to-grow carrier is unique in that it doesn’t require a newborn insert and is made to fit all baby sizes customizable from varying weights to heights. Finally, it takes less than a minute to put on. Every new parent knows how precious time is when they have a crying newborn on their lap or a busy toddler running around. Therefore, it’s essential that a baby carrier be effective in the practicality of putting it on, taking it off, and adjusting it while it’s on. Parents will enjoy that they can quickly adjust the straps to fit their comfort while they have their baby already securely strapped on. For a structured baby carrier, Tula leads in comfort and practicality.

ErgoBaby Omni Dream Carrier

The ErgoBaby Omni Dream Carrier delivers comfort with the softest cotton in a variety of colors and patterns to choose from. It’s durable to the touch yet promotes maximum comfort as it provides cushioned straps and lumbar support. From newborn to toddler, the Omni dream is a flexible carrier as one can wear their little one inward or outward on their chest providing the ability for a snug fit for naps or a comfortable seat for looking out. Parents will be reassured that their little one is comfortable as the omni dream has been recognized by the International Hip Dysplasia Institute. Additionally, this structured carrier encourages extended use over years to come use as your infant grows in neck support with hip and back carry. With the Omni Dream carrier’s ability to be used in four different ways it allows the use of it  to meet its maximum potential for an ever changing young child. Parents will love the versatility of a structured carrier that can be used in a way that feels most comfortable for both the caretaker and the young child.

When it comes to putting on the carrier, it has amble hip and back support with multiple adjustment straps and a safety lock for a secure fastening. You will appreciate the convenient wide storage pocket in the front as many baby carriers don’t come with a way to store keys or a wallet while baby wearing. Finally, mothers are able to conveniently breastfeed while wearing the Omni dream in an inward position making outings just a bit easier. The ability to adjust the Omni dream in multiple flexible positions makes this the ideal carrier for caretakers who are looking for a carrier with longevity and practicality.

Final Thoughts

In conclusion, the Ergobaby Omni Dream and Tula Free-to-Grow carriers are both wonderful options for new and seasoned parents alike. They are structured wraps with amble back and hip support. They include a variety of colors and patterns to choose from with soft yet firm fabric. Parents may decide if they would like a carrier with front and back carrying from the Free-to-Grow or if they would prefer the option of all four positions: front, back, inward, and outward. Finally, I found Tula’s carrier easier and faster to put on with more of a variety of desired patterns than the Omni Dream. However, the Omni dream had a better storage pouch and a safety fastener which I appreciated. Parents will appreciate both carriers as it comes down to preference but cannot go wrong with either.
