Lincoln Navigator: My favorite vehicle of the year is not at all what you might expect

I love sports cars. I’m one to jump into a small hot hatch with a manual transmission and just fly down the road like a cheetah unleashed in the wild. That’s why it’s so surprising that the 2025 Lincoln Navigator is my favorite vehicle of the entire year, one that stodd out not just for its technology and amenities, but for an absolutely mesmerizing experience.

I’m talking about the curved screen that wraps around the entire dashboard, of course. Yes, the rumors are true. It’s absolutely amazing and should be experienced by all. 48-inches of pure bliss, to be honest. The Lincoln Rejuvenate option is everything you may have heard about and more. On the wrap-around screen, you can play a themed experience like a waterfall that not only appears on the massive screen but also blows fresh air in waves as you lean back in your seat with the massage running. I mean, there’s just nothing like it.

The word that comes to mind is transportative. You are carried away by the sights and sounds. There’s one called Aurora Borealis as well. These are not quick animated sequences. They evolve over time, transcend, emote, and enrapture. You feel transported to another place and time. I showed this mode to several people who were amazed the tech even exists.

Lincoln Navigator: So much more than a massive screen

So far I’ve mentioned something that is basically a spa you experience in the vehicle while parked, but that’s before you even start driving. The Navigator also has so many other amenities that it’s hard to cover them all, but we’ll give it a shot here.

Let’s talk about the seats. I can’t remember a vehicle that was so comfortable. The Black Label version I tested has a 30-day adjustable seat. Let that sink in a little. We’re talking micro-adjustments so your back feels comfortable for long drives or just sitting in the driveway watching that waterfall I mentioned.

By the way, you can also stream movies and shows using that pano screen, which is also transportative. There’s nothing quite like sitting in the Navigator watching a movie with excellent sound, but I digress again — let’s talk about driving.

Lincoln Navigator: Performance driving at your fingertips

The 440-horsepower twin-turbocharged engine and standard all-wheel drive are also transportative in their own way. My experience driving the Navigator is that it just propels you forward like a luxury yacht, firing on all cylinders plus the twin turbos.

I mentioned this is my favorite vehicle of the year so far, and in part it is due to how this beast drives. It’s just amazingly powerful, zipping into traffic with ease. Lincoln did not compromise on the power mechanics for those who need to merge into traffic quickly.

I also love the self-driving features, including a hands-free mode that was helpful on a long drive. BlueCruise is a smart innovation in that it actually works. The Lane Change Assist and In-Lane Repositioning also make sure your high-powered yacht is not shifting in the lane.

I was thoroughly impressed by every detail, from the panoramic screen to the sound system to the hands-free driving. The Lincoln Navigator is my top pick of the year so far.
