The Aukey Bedroom Lamp changes brightness with a tap

I wake up, get out of bed, stretch, and reach over to tap a new lamp I’m testing called the Aukey Bedside Lamp. My eyes adjust to the sudden light in the room. I reach over and tap again — a bright aura surrounds me. I feel like I’m ready to conquer anything.

This is my new routine, and I’m loving how this $27 lamp has brightened my day. With its sleek, modern look, it matches the decor anywhere in my house. I appreciate how easy it is to move around the house because it is one solid piece, unlike the classic lamp design.

Originally, I placed the lamp on my living room end table and it gave me about enough light to browse my planner. The light emits in a 360-degree arc that, without a lampshade, is bright enough to fill a room. I have used it in my bedroom every night before I go to sleep too. My eyes appreciate the dim setting at night and the bright setting for work.

Aukey also sells a Touch Sensor Dimmable Warm White Light & Color Changing RGB Lamp. Color changing lamps are a current trend but I like that this lamp does not do that. It’s classy, the light is not distracting, and it always matches my mood.

Aukey designed the Bedside Lamp to be sturdy and unbreakable. The lamp, which weighs only 20-ounces, has a light plastic coating and curved corner so it’s kid-friendly.

Using the Aukey bedroom lamp is super easy. Turn it on with a tap, turn it off by tapping again. To adjust brightness, place pressure on the top metal piece. It is bright enough to read a book or provide enough light for a Zoom call, yet dim enough to not hurt your eyes when you wake up in the middle of the night. The lamp remembers the last brightness setting you used and automatically resumes that level of brightness. One less thing to remember, check.

O’Bright sells a similar product that looks more like a traditional lamp, but it does not need to be plugged in and only has three brightness settings. This lamp retails for $13. With Aukey, I can choose any brightness level that I want up to 300 lumens. Shine Hai sells a lamp for $40 with two USB ports and three lighting settings, also touch-controlled.

I did drop the lamp several times while reviewing this product but it still works perfectly. Aukey has a free 24-month warranty with this product so I didn’t worry much about it breaking. The lamp’s quality continues to impress me the most. I have yet to find another product on the market for this price with the same range of features. I personally love it.
