Excited to test the BōnDry’s capabilities, I load up my hydration pack and hit a local trail. Curious about its versatility, I have two of my kids grab their Mini-MULE CamelBak hydration packs as well. After a beautiful hike we head back home to see just how effective and easy the BōnDry is to use.
Using the BōnDry Hydration Pack Dryer is a straightforward process. I simply disconnect the hydration reservoir from my pack and empty any remaining water. (It is important to rinse any non-water liquid out of the reservoir before using the BōnDry). Then I insert the BōnDry into the opening of the reservoir and watch it complete absorb any remaining water in my hydration bladder. The wicking process quickly transports the water out of the bladder reservoir to evaporate.
This means that I need to leave my hydration reservoir open for a period of time with the BōnDry inserted in it inorder for it to completely dry. While this is faster than the traditional air-dry method and does a better job, it also means I need one for each of my hydration packs for maximum efficiency. Additionally, the BōnDry doesn’t come with hydration tube and reservoir cleaners like similarly priced air-drying products.
In terms of performance, the BōnDry Hydration Pack Dryer impresses me with its effectiveness in removing moisture from my hydration pack. Even in humid conditions, it quickly and efficiently dries out my gear, ensuring that it’s ready for my next adventure.
