With chasing my little one around, social distancing sadly not going away soon, and the colder months ahead, my need for comfortable yet on-trend clothing has never been higher. I decided to go straight to the source of high-end sustainable athleisure, Lululemon. While Lululemon pieces tend to run on the pricier side, investing in classic staple pieces that I will wear for years to come makes it worth it.
I decided to give the Lululemon Scuba Hoodie a try after seeing the product features and overall hype. I was first drawn to the coziness while still being on-trend. It’s very rare to find something that is comfortable but still looks well put together. This hoodie could easily be worn with leggings or jeans making it multi-functional.
Among the vast color options, I ultimately went with the Heathered Core Light Grey to achieve that timeless look. I also decided to size up one size to be able to have a more relaxed fit. After receiving the Lululemon Scuba Hoodie, I was glad I decided to size up because it fit perfectly.
One feature I first noticed was the quality and thickness of the fabric. Take my word for it, this Scuba Hoodie is insanely soft and comfortable. As a tall person with long arms, I really appreciate the length of the sleeves and torso of this hoodie.
Another thing I immediately noticed was the oversized hood. It is larger than traditional hoodies but not too big so it still looks proportional to the rest of the jacket and doesn’t mess up my hair when worn. The Lululemon logo tastefully embroidered on the hood is the cherry on top of this sweet hoodie.
After wearing the Lululemon Scuba Hoodie for a while, I began to notice the other remarkable features that set this designer hoodie apart from others. The ribbed panels on the sides and under the arms allow for unrestrained movement, which is huge. Whether picking up my toddler, groceries, or dumbbells, this hoodie has the right moves. Other notable features are the thumbholes, a hidden media pocket inside one of the front pockets, and a high collar when fully zipped.
However, perhaps the most unique wow-factor for me on this Lululemon Scuba Hoodie is the zipper pull that doubles as a hair tie. Talk about functional! That feature alone puts this hoodie at the top of my list.
As for sustainability, the Scuba Hoodie washes incredibly well. I’ve washed mine a handful of times already (toddler mom life), and it still looks brand new. I foresee zero problems with the dreaded pilling other sweatshirts have.
After trying out the Lululemon Scuba Hoodie for a few weeks, it is the one I reach for most in my closet. I can safely say it is worth the money and lives up to the hype!
