The Lululemon pants I wore to work that my boss loved

A normal workday begins at 7 am when my alarm starts buzzing loudly next to my ear. Actually, it blares Break My Stride by Matthew Wilder (I really hate that song now). Besides upbeat 80s hits, my typical workday begins with a really hot shower and a quick mental game plan. I have a meeting at 10 am, a conference call at 2 pm, a team outing at 4 pm, followed by a few errands and a late dinner. My schedule for the day almost always determines what I wear.

When I’m running out the door with no time to pack extra clothes, apparel that doubles as an office and casual wear is essential. The Lululemon On the Fly collection claims to have the most versatile pieces designed to look professional for the office, but athletic enough to stretch and move with you. I decided to put the On the Fly 7/8 pants to the test.

At first glance, these pants look sleek and stylish. When you step into them, you’re surprised by the coolness and ultra-stretch of the Full-On Luxtreme fabric. I could do the splits in these pants but I won’t. I paired them with a simple turtleneck and boots. At the office, I was warming up leftovers in the lunchroom microwave when my boss stopped me to ask, “Where did you get your pants?” She looked surprised when I explained they were from Lululemon. I told her to feel the four-way stretch fabric (likely scaring a few coworkers watching my boss pull at my pants). She was in love and I agreed because I was as well.

In terms of sizing, the On the Fly pants come in a variety of styles to choose from. The 7/8 pants are slightly cropped (with a 27-inch inseam) and a medium rise. I measure at a towering 5’5” and they fall right at my ankles. They have a relaxed fit, yet don’t feel or look baggy at all. In regards to sizing, I chose my regular jean size and they fit great. The flattering waistband and fully-functional drawstring allow you to perfectly adjust these to your shape.

Whether your job requires you to sit in front of a computer for hours or regularly work on your feet, these pants keep you comfortable and looking great all at the same time. In the words of my alarm, these pants ain’t gonna break your stride or slow you down.
