Being pregnant with my second baby, I was always on the hunt to make this experience as comfortable as possible. I’m a pretty minimalist person and my first pregnancy I wasn’t convinced I needed all the things people recommended. With things constantly surprising you in pregnancy, it was nice to be able to count on this pillow to always come through for me whenever it was time to get that beloved sleep.
Canopy Humidifier
During pregnancy and postpartum the Canopy Humidifier was so helpful to keep our air filtered and hydrated. Stuffy noses and breathing is crucial in life, but especially so when pregnancy makes it hard to breathe and your new baby needs to keep that adorable little button nose clear. When looking for a bottle for my sweet girl, I was shocked at how many options are out there! After getting sucked into a never ending spiral of research, I settled on trying Comotomo Bottles. My firstborn refused a bottle at all costs so I knew I would need to try something as similar to breastfeeding this time to have a better shot at my baby taking a bottle. Enter the Comotomo bottle. They designed their bottle to be the closest resemblance to breastfeeding, allowing babies to transition back and forth between the two easier.
I really liked the well thought out the design of the Comotomo Bottle. It is soft and provides a skin-like touch for my baby but yet is made of a hygienic silicone so I don’t need to worry about my baby getting toxic chemicals in her milk. It also is super easy to clean and is safe in the top rack of my dishwasher, the microwave and ok to be steam sterilized. With all the things to to do as a mom, it’s nice to not have the hassle of cleaning bottles with a million hard to clean pieces. My last and probably most favorite part of the Comotomo Bottle is the dual anti-colic vent. It allows my baby to get only milk and not problem-causing air leaving a happy baby and mama.
Newton Baby Mattress
If you get one baby item, let it be the Newton Baby Mattress. There is no price I can put on the peace of mind knowing my baby is safe when she sleeps. The Newton Mattress is the only 100% breathable mattress on the market. You read that right, even completely face down on the mattress, my baby can still breathe. My husband and I both tested it out by smooshing our faces into the mattress and it was incredible the air we were still able to to receive. Reducing the risk of my sweet baby girl suffocating in the night by having her sleep on the Newton Mattress is the reason I’m able to sleep more soundly.
On top of the breathable feature that already had me sold, the Newton Baby Mattress is the only mattress that is completely washable.
