I just moved to a new place, which means frozen food is my easy go-to. But anyone who knows me well knows I’m no Rachael Ray. (I can’t cook to save my life, and sometimes I joke about that one time I burned water.)
Thankfully, now heating up meals from the freezer is easier than ever, thanks to my new 2.0 XL Air Fryer by Uber Appliance. Long before I used this air fryer, I heard so many of my friends raving about using one as if it was the new crockpot, or some kind of microwave but way better. I didn’t understand how it was different from using the oven or why I’d want one.
But after using it just a few times, I totally understand the appeal. Instead of waiting 20 minutes for the oven to preheat, and then baking some frozen chicken strips for 15 minutes, all you need to do is turn the air fryer on and cut your baking time in half. What would have taken 35 minutes total to make in the oven I was able to fully cook in just 9 minutes.
I was pretty skeptical at first — how does this device heat food so quickly? It’s all because of the small inside compartment and air pressure that helps the temperature rise to 400 degrees way faster than a regular oven. Because this compartment is airtight, it even beats smaller conventional ovens.
One feature that’s nice about this particular air fryer is the touchscreen technology. It’s very modern and easy to use. You can select the time and temperature and start heating your food within no time.
It wasn’t long before my friends started using it too. Pretty soon we were heating up mozzarella sticks, mini-pizzas, and all those really great frozen food options from Trader Joe’s where you don’t have to actually cook anything. I’d describe this kitchen addition as a great alternative to the microwave, especially if you want to heat food fast without the effect or taste of microwaved food.
The Uber Appliance Air Fryer comes with a basket that’s easy to clean — all you need to do is remove it with the touch of a button. You can easily dump your food out of the basket without having to use hot pads or worry about burning yourself.
I could rave more about this air fryer, but I think the features speak for themselves. You won’t regret adding this item to your kitchen, especially if you want to save time on easy meals. I know I’ll continue to use it, even after I learn how to cook gourmet meals (someday it’ll happen).
