It is hard to stamp down my excitement and anticipation when the Ninja Smart Double Oven with FlexDoor first arrives. Inside the box is the oven, directions, a chef-created recipe book and cooking chart. It also comes with everything you need to get started (2 sheet pans, 2 wire racks, air fry basket, and removable crumb tray). The showcase feature is its ability to open just the top oven door or the whole door. This feature is completely unique and the first of its kind for countertop double ovens!
Experience:
The Ninja Smart Double Oven is slightly larger than I expected, however it is not much larger than conventional countertop ovens. Yet, the features more than compensate for its countertop real estate. Like many others, I’m quick to gravitate to the air-fryer. I just love how it crisps up my at home chicken or fries on par with a restaurant, but at a fraction of the cost (and in this economy who doesn’t love that?).
As I experiment with various meals, I am surprised at how quickly it preheats – in under three minutes! This time saving feature alone is enough for me to choose it over my conventional oven nine times out of ten. Especially when I need a quick meal for hungry kids. I also find that with its family sized capacity, I can prepare most meals for our family of seven.
Additionally, the two separate ovens allow me to make two different meals in case my kids are being finicky. However, mainly I find I am using the two separate ovens to cook two dishes at the same time for a full meal. The Smart Finish Technology allows the two ovens to sync both ovens to cook two different ways at different temperatures, yet finished at the same time. Of all the features, this may be the most clutch (and my favorite one)!
The Smart Double Oven is a little louder than I was expecting, and the cooking food smells are slightly stronger than a traditional oven. However, Ninja has done a nice job in creating a flavor seal between the upper and lower ovens. This keeps food smells from crossing over into one another. Overall, it is a powerhouse when it comes to ease of use and cooking. Not to mention exceptional features, smart design, and innovation with the FlexDoor.

My experience so far is that the Ninja Smart Double Oven is loaded with helpful features. The FlexDoor isn’t just cool, but extremely useful when cooking multiple dishes, or simply accessing just the top for snacks or quick meals. I love the Smart Finish Technology which allows me to sync both ovens so that they finish cooking two different dishes at the same time. With twelve available cooking functions the meal options are nearly limitless. Admittedly the toasting feature leaves a little to be desired in terms of toasting evenly regardless of which setting I used.
The large capacity is fantastic. (It can fit up to 6 lbs of wings and a twelve-inch pizza at the same time). The Flavorseal Technology prevents smells from crossing between ovens. I can cook two different foods at the same time without worrying about flavors crossing over. By far, the ease and flexibility of making a multi-dish meal, or two different meals in a fraction of the time is my favorite feature (up to 65% faster than a traditional oven).
