I recently bought my first house. While it’s not an old house by any means — built in 1990 — it definitely has not had the siding, porch, or deck cleaned since… well.. 1990. So, as soon as things got warmer, I got to work. First order of business was to chop down some trees, and trim some others. Then it was work on the grass and once I got the time, I decided washing my siding, porch, and deck, was worth an investment. That investment, of course, was in an electric pressure washer.
Now, I have seen pressure washers before. I knew how satisfying cleaning with them would be — or at least I thought I did.
Washing
Pressure washing might just have to become my new hobby because it is truly satisfying. As someone who is a bit of a neat freak, I was equally disgusted with how dirty things like my deck actually was, and how clean it is now. The difference, with nothing more than pressurized water, was truly astounding. I cleaned the top of my deck, the sides of my deck, the railings, my porch, my garage door, garage floor, basketball hoop, siding, my son’s play house, and more. All of which took almost no time, now looks so much better, and was actually enjoyable to clean.
Pressure Washer
The electric pressure washer itself that I used was the Sun Joe SPX3000-XT1 XTREAM. This relatively small pressure washer was able to handle everything I threw at it with ease. What makes this model great is the “Triple Action Power”. Those three actions are;
- XTREAM Foaming
- XTREAM Cleaning
- XTREAM Rinsing
These three actions create a package that can truly clean almost anything.
Specifically, to expand the XTREAM Cleaning action even more, there are four different Quick-Connect Nozzles to customize the amount of pressure and the range of spray. There is a nozzle for 0º, 15º, 25º, and 40º. This range allows for anything from intense, heavy duty jobs to lighter work.
The best way to describe the XTREAM Foaming attachment is to simply quote Sun Joe / Snow Joe’s description: “the onboard detergent foam cannon aerates detergent and shoots it up to 15 feet away for maximum coverage and unmatched adhesion to help remove sticky underlying layers of dirt and surface grime”.
Ease of Use
Industrial level cleaning machines may not always be the easiest thing to use. However, with Snow Joe, I felt as though I was able to set up, and get cleaning with almost no friction. The setup and use process was easy, quick, and worry free.
Final Thoughts
All in all, this pressure washer from Snow Joe / Sun Joe is a joy to use, granted part of that is because now I know my items are clean, however the ease of use, functionality, and ability of this pressure washer was the reason for such. I am very happy with my choice in pressure washer and look forward to continuing to find things to clean. If there was one thing I could change, I would make the hose between the pressure washer and the nozzle a bit longer, I found myself having to move the base more often than I would have liked. Other than that, I am thrilled with what I have seen so far while using this pressure washer!
