There is nothing more distracting than a cluttered workspace. My small desk at home is crowded with so many gadgets that it can be difficult to even make space for my Apple 11-inch iPad Pro with the Logitech Slim Folio Pro, which is my primary device for work and school.
With so much stuff constantly surrounding me, I often find it difficult to be productive at my desk.
When COVID-19 struck and I began working entirely from home, I decided I needed to find a way to become more productive at my desk. I soon concluded the only option was to simplify my workspace — but getting rid of everything on my desk was not really an option.
I needed a way to condense my gear without losing the functionality that comes with such a large arsenal of products. Enter the The LumiCharge-LD.
This intuitive device does a fantastic job of combining some of the most common desktop essentials into one device. I found myself especially enjoying the ability to wirelessly charge my phone in multiple different postures: vertical, horizontal, and flat on its back.
The LumiCharge-LD is a sleek, modern-looking addition to my desk. I love the LED light feature that gives a cool vibe to the room.
There are six color options and a few different settings that let you flip through the colors at different speeds. You can control the LED feature with your voice through Alexa or Google Assistant when paired with the mobile app.There’s something strangely empowering about walking into a room and saying “Alexa, turn on my lights” and watching the LED lights of the LumiCharge-LD begin to cycle.
However, when it comes to the speakers, I am not exactly impressed. The dual speakers lack bass and overall sound quality. I do still enjoy putting them to use while watching Outer Banks on Netflix. The Qi wireless charging pad allows me to charge my phone at an angle that is perfect for viewing as well. The horizontal wireless charging and built-in speakers work together to create a harmonious entertainment experience.
The LumiCharge-LD would not be my first choice for a Bluetooth speaker or phone charger, but it is definitely a great way to save a few bucks and a lot of desk space by combining your clock, desk lamp, Bluetooth speaker, and wireless charger.
I am always looking for creative technology that saves money and space. While using the LumiCharge-LD, I was able to appreciate a cleaner desk and a more confined arsenal of gadgets — and that’s a beautiful thing.
